My little pot.

Img_6626 When I saw this wonderful post on november moon's blog, I immediately printed out her instructions on how to make a similar pot................ Img_6620 .................I then selected a vessel, and thought, yipee....... I can now use up some of those sweet wrappers, and oddments of pretty paper I have been collecting for years, (and hadn't a clue why I was collecting them)............ and make my own version of Cathy's creation. Img_6622 I loved cathy's use of the moss, but could not stop myself having a Viola instead............... just like cathy's next planting. .........This sits on the window sill in my studio, at weekends it's in the house , so I can tend to its needs......... Img_6621 When I dead-head the Viola, the flowers are never quite dried up enough to have lost their intense colour, so I pop them in water, in any pot that is to hand, and am always amazed at how long they last........... Img_6627 ........... Knitting the collar was quick and easy, just using garter stitch, and it really does finish off the look of the pot nicely............... I've become very emotionally attached to my little pot............. and may make more some time...........

Unbearably cute! I might have to pop off and see how to make one myself!

Hello Vanessa, it's so pretty - absolutely charming:) I love the papers you have used and of course my favourite flower:) Also love the yarn you have used, it works so well.

What a beautiful creation, the colours and textures work so well together, ooooo you are such a talented girl!!
It's lovely when you discover someones work which touches you isn't it, I can see that you are drawn to Cathy's work, it reminds me of Julie Arkell who I imagine you also like?
I just discovered Sarah Ahearn's work, my goodness I could have every single one of her pieces, they are delicious, take a look...

Pretty! Pretty! Pretty!

ooh I like your pot very much!!!
Violas remind me of my grandparents house. They had lots of them.

I think we can all go "POTTY"
Dreaming up our colour schemes...
I shall choose my next bag of sweets
for the wrappers !!!
YUM FUN....... {:>)))))

Oh, how lovely. I'm just going over for a look too...
The violas set off the pot perfectly.

Love it! the colours are great, fresh and summery, the knitting is perfect and the choice of the wool works perfect with the paper.. and I must say, I think it is a better version of the original (sorry moon). Well done!
