I'm taking some time off..................

IMG_7039 ....................I'll be back blogging beginning of July....................... Cheerio!..............................

IMG_6605 If I had the funds, our house would be full of fresh cut flowers from a florist all the time.....................
Being realistic................. and trying to be innovative................ I present to you an alternative to expensive blooms from the florist.................
IMG_6596 ........ Wild flowers from the wayside................. in this case, with a colour theme of 'dark and gold'.
IMG_6590 When I returned home from having collected my flowers, I arranged them in a vase like a florist might, with blades of grass adding a bit of 'pizazz'. I liked the way they were turned into something out-of-the-ordinary................. a fancy bouquet of weeds!
IMG_6600 ......And this one is my 'Fancy Weeds', more casual, 'plonked in a cup' version...........
As I've said before.............. I love nature's freebies..................

IMG_6889 Last Saturday afternoon, the sun came out of hiding................. and blazed!
IMG_6861 One thing we have learnt from living in the North of England, is to never take a sunny day for granted.
So that evening, we hot-footed it down to the beach, and Hugo lit the barbeque....................
IMG_6855 While I cracked open a chilled bottle of Ginger Beer.................
IMG_6870 ............Despite the look on Hugo's face.............. the burgers in pitta bread were delicious...................
IMG_6860 ................And we had the beach to ourselves.................
IMG_6887 .................Yes, we live in a part of the world where, on a balmy, sunny evening, we can have the beach to ourselves...................
It doesn't get much better than that, does it.....................
