Hyena In Petticoats

Ok, so I'm delurking right now especially for this:

1. That vest is FABULOUS.

2. It sounds crazy hard, and I have no idea where you found the patience.

3. I can't see the mistake, so matter how hard I look...

4. If you never wear it, I'll buy it from you!

Though I do think you look great wearing it, especially with the scarf and those glasses.....

12 bobbins all at once..........
either you're brilliant or you're crazy or both...

I LOVE it, and I can't see the mistake.Maybe Hugo needs to be in a special place to wear it like "the last night at the Proms" or a stroll through Carnaby Street, or having a drink at his local. It looks very good on you though :)

I can't see any knitted errors either. Hmm...maybe those aren't really the colours of the Union Jack.

In my defence the tank top is the only true 'labour of love' item that Vanessa has knitted for me and as such I want it to last. Being a sprightly 30 years old I expect to be able to wear it for perhaps another 50 years.

LOL awww @ Hugo!!! Before we all rip him to shreds for not wearing the tank top every day! I expect to see photographic evidence that Hugo is wearing this item when he is eighty (ooh I'll be eighty six!).
I think it's great, and dare I say, I like it better on you Vanessa!
I would have given up when I read it needed so many bobbins, I can't even work two needles!
I can't spot any mistakes at all.

Naughty old codger!! Someone will have to have some words in H's ear......!
Hows the chaos?? Kitchen here anytime x

Excuses, excuses, Hugo! :) if it helps, V, I've knit many things for LB and he rarely wears them, either. Luckily it looks great on you.

One more thing, when reading Tam's comment bear in mind that she is my sister!

Thank you jennie for your measured response :) I am happy to be pictured wearing the tank top at eighty (probably over my space suit!) although given global warming it is possible that it will be too hot to wear the tank top then (only joking).

Nice comeback, Hugo! I'd prefer that my knitted items get worn out from so much love than sit lonely for years. It annoys when my mom says she doesn't wear the socks I made her because she doesn't want to get them dirty. No more socks for her! I much prefer the ratty-looking cabled alpaca scarf that my dad won't stop wearing because I made it for him.

Just a thought. :)

It is not the wearing or the storing but the knitting that matters. And let's face it - a Union Jack is not going to go out of date.

Vanessa it looks so good on you...&
All that matters is a "UNION"
anything that is made
with lOVE...
lives forever and ever...
So share it...?
