Leaves in a jar .............. when there are no flowers available ............ why not put some leaves in a jar, and display them ................ I know it's Autumn, so leaves are plentiful on the pavements and ground, but why not other times of year too ............. I suppose leaves do get quite over-shadowed by flowers, they don't always have the same wow-factor................. Still, I like them ................ I like painting them................
I really like this painting - subtle, understated. I like the curved leaf and the soft muted colours and the transparancy of the jar. I am off to my watercolour painting lesson now. We have to paint a still life of beads and jewellery today. I wish I could produce work of your standard.

you're going to have to rename your blog "do you mind if I paint"!
