..............Oooohhh........ Colour......... yipee ............... and coloured buttons............ double joy..............

When I look at this necklace, I feel happy.............. that's the effect colour has on me...................

.......... I made this necklace a while ago, on an evening course at our local bead shop.
Everyone there seemed to know each other, and they were happily chatting away.................. While I found myself going into that extremely anti-social mode............ concentration............... I became completely and utterly absorbed in the colours of the buttons..............

The teacher's demonstration involved stringing buttons that matched.............. and all the other students were matching their buttons, (which did look gorgeous).................. But I just couldn't do it..............

For me, colours come in to their own when they are contrasting with each other.........

They come alive............ For instance, grey is no longer neutral when it is contrasted with orange, and the orange is not so scorching when it is toned down by the grey............. to me, they balance each other out.

I thought you might like to see the necklace being worn..................

What a fun evening it was, making this necklace................ it involved everything I enjoy........... crafting, colour, jewelery, and the gentle company of people...........
isnt it funny the effect these sort of colours can have ? i immediately perked up and thought how delicious it looked!!!

I agree with you totally. hot pink and grey is a fave colour combination of mine, lime green and chocolate brown works well too - ooh and hot pink and navy... it looks very edible this necklace, if I were to wear it I might end up sucking it!

Those are great colors! There's a place for matchy-matchy but that necklace is perfect and so cheerful.

It reminds me of those sweetie necklaces! Do you remember? Pulling the elastic so you could have a sneaky suck at the lovely colours only to discover (oh what a surprise, how could that have happened) that the toxic dyes were forever transferred to your sticky collar! HA! Mum didn't love those necklaces.
I love your necklace! LOVE IT! t.x
