These are the Primulas I bought last year, before I planted them in a pot............ These photographs must have been taken March time................
They look so perfect, don't they? .................. Someone once said to me that Primulas are old-fashioned, (I don't think it was meant in an approving way)................ I personally love old fashioned.............. I'm an extremely old fashioned gal myself...................
To me, the phrase 'old fashioned', implies something quaint. And you either like quaint old fashioned or ........... it's not your cup of tea.................I'm thinking of all the good implications for the phrase............... Now I'm thinking I may have opened up a can of worms................. I think I've just used a couple of old fashioned phrases, haven't I ?!
They ae so lovely and sunny, its hard not to smile. How is the paw?

When it comes to fashion I'm with Oscar Wilde. Your Primroses are beautiful. Spring primroses will always be beautiful. t.xx

My mum adores primroses and so do I. They are so dainty, cheerful and full of the joys of spring. Beautiful

I think the new word for old fashioned is vintage, and everyone is into vintage!!!

Some of our primroses are still flowering from last year - they seem to be the only flower that will grow in one of our beds - so we tend to go a little overboard and cram in as many as we can. A little dash of old-fashioned is always nice. See you anon! C x

I love your paintings, they remind me very much of Charles Rennie Macintosh's watercolours. I particularly like his paintings of pinks and cyclamen. I love your daffodils and tete a tetes - they're my favourite flowers!
