I love Julie Arkells work There is something about it. The way she makes quite ordinary things just look right. Look forward to the scuplture.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE JULIE A...I met her once and had such a giggle infact we ended up drawing quite a crowd who joined in the banter and smut...i am afraid that I am a little smutty....we were coming up with ways of describing my ample body and decided to use fruits...the lady next to us thought we were desribing a smoothie and asked where she could buy one!!!!! I would love one of her rabbit people and I often drool over her book. I was inspired to cover all shoe boxes with La Monde after seeing her work room...no shoe box is safe in our house...glad you are back...love H

Oh, yes,JA, LOVE love love her work and creatvity.
I saw here beautiful work for real the other wkend when I visited Loop, and I was very surprised how substantial and heavy her creatures are, and how beautiful the details.
Can't wait to see your JA piece, v jealous that you actually own something she made!

Did you have a good time away?? I've missed not chatting to you here or by email (did get your mail the other week, I so meant to reply and kept getting sidetracked)..if you ever fancy a chat, gimme a call?!

Gorgeous. I adore Julie's work and hope to do a workshop with her this year. I regularly do Janet Bolton's workshops and they are great friends, Janet is always wearing a Julie Arkell creation.

I knew Julies work some years ago in papier mache and am just discovering her new textile work. She still retains the same sense of humour and extraordinary originality!
