It's so EXCITING! I've moved my studio to a bigger space. That's why I've been absent for a few days. Last weekend was a whirl-wind of painting walls and woodwork, and moving furniture into one of the two spare rooms. I think I over-did it a bit, because I'm feeling
a little wobbly. Wobbly, but happy. Happy because I have glorious pink walls in my new studio, and every time I walk in my spirits are lifted.

I quite like the reflection of my new studio window in the jug above.................. I don't want to show you photos of my new work space until it's all finished............. shelves and pictures and bits and bobs installed. And the reason for moving to a new space? Well, the garden shed, while being very sweet, pretty and cozy, was just too small. In my new studio, I get to have my plan chests and furniture in the same room without squeezing between them all. And as a bonus, I won't have to be deafened by Mr.Great Big Fat Sea Gull, stomping up and down the roof of the shed. Oh, and I won't have to worry about Mr.Sleek Plump Brown Rat we saw in the garden, which we suspect has made a home for itself in the partition wall of my old studio. The scrabbling noises were getting very bad the last week I was in there, shifting from one area to another (and there's a nasty smell which has started to get even nastier). Before we make the garden shed into a little library for my hundreds of books, we're going to have to deal with Mr.Rat. We don't want to use poison, and rather than using a trap, Hugo's found some Sonar device that makes Rats and Mice pack their bags............. It's all go, go, go here............... This weekend, I'm hoping Hugo might put shelves and pictures up in my new studio, then I can really get installed properly. Until then, I'll just be showing photographs of things contrasting with my "Strawberry Yoghurt Pink" walls.
gorgeous colour and love the yellow against it ! cant wait to see the new space and we have have those sonar things in the house after a few little "visitors" and we havent seen anything since and that was a year ago so i highly recommend them!

Lucky you - a new studio, and what a fabulous colour!
Aren't you kind about the mice? I'm afraid I was damaged at a young age by reading 'The Tale of the Roly Poly Pudding' by Beatrix Potter. I still find this terrifying today - and as a result I'm something of a psychopath when it comes to rodents. When we had mice a few years age I called Rentokill without pausing for breath.

Can't wait to see your new creative space. The only problem with outside studios is having to share them with the resident wildlife, some of which are not as nice as others! I once kept a few bags of fabrics outside until I found a family of mice had taken up residence in the middle of the bag, the cheek!!

It's so nice to have you blogging again. I really missed it. The color is delicious and I hope you make some paintings with it in the background! I admire anybody who can choose a color that is right the first time. I usually end up repainting once or twice before it feels just right. I absolutely cannot wait to see your new creative space.

Congratulations on the new studio! How fantastic!!! I love the color! We're searching for houses, and I long to have a studio that I can really decorate however I want!
