Vanessa, it is nice to have you back again. I have missed your cheery colourful posts, though the one from Douglas was a bit special. He really is a handsome fellow.

A very lovely set of gifts, indeed! I wish you the best in getting everything fixed and back together.

I love your hearts and your crocheting is wonderful! I just joined your blog. I am now crocheting a throw and really love doing it.
Your tutorials are wonderful too!

Lovely give-away prizes - a small consolation for your flood damage, hope all is sorted soon.

Lucky you! What fabulous gifts. They are all gorgeous, especially the bag and those hearts. I expect Douglas was pleased to see you again. Blogging looked like pretty tiring work for him. Enjoy your weekend! Ros

What lovely gifts - you are lucky and a small consolation for the loss of your precious books.

Hugs - I hope your internet is back up and working again soon and thats the cue for 2010 to turn into a brilliant year!

Sarah - Jane down the lane

Ah beautiful things from Rachel, love the red and love the spots and gingham. I can smell the hyacinths from here, as you say a simple gift that gives so much pleasure. Nice to see you back from the brink Vanessa,

Lovely to have you back Vanessa, and you are right, the awful things happening in the world do put our own small losses into perspective but we can't help feeling a bit sad about it. A very cheery present tho' to put a smile on your face!

Glad to hear you are back to normal, I know how you feel as our whole house was flooded two weeks ago. The mess and hassle was unbearable, although as you mention I have been thinking I shouldn't moan so much since I saw pictures of Haiti...
